White Elephant Gift Exchange Poem

White Elephant Poem is a small piece of poetry that can be used to assist with random directional instructions for the player to do the gift swaps. Each player follows direction given by the poem. The person who gets taken a gift away gets to follow the next instruction from the poem and so on. If the poem runs out before the game is completed, you may restart the reading of the poem.

Here’s a little poem you can use for your white elephant game:

Ellie The Elephant Poem

Ellie the elephant didn’t look RIGHT
Her tummy was grumbling into the night
She walked ACROSS the room to find something to eat,
all that was LEFT was a big red beet;

Ellie White Elephant wanted to dance
But the music wasn’t RIGHT, she had no chance
She stepped to the LEFT and setpped to the RIGHT
She stepped all over RIGHT LEFT RIGHT;

Ellie the elephant went ACROSS the street
To get to the ice cream RIGHT to the treat,
She Licked the cone RIGHT, She licked the cone LEFT
She licked the ice cream so much that there was nothing LEFT;
